Creating a complete year of Canbacing

“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself” George Bernard Shaw.

Such a perfect quote now that we are on the cusp of starting our first complete year of Creating A New, Beautiful And Courageous Existence.

My phoenix has finally got rid of the snuffles, completed its burn and is returning to its formal glory. As we are ready to raise from the ashes of 2018 and make 2019 a year to remember. You can read about my poorly phoenix here.

This is when we fully embrace our new CANBACE life. It’s our time to shine: our time to thrive.

Creating changeIn order to live our best 2019 possible Andrew and I have spent the last month reflecting on changes that have happened since we started to CANBACE. We’ve been looking at what has worked well and what needs to be tweaked slightly. This has involved looking at what we REALLY want our lives to be like in the future. It also means being REALLY honest about what we want to ditch, or at the very least improve dramatically.

The changes we have decided to focus on are:

* remaining true to ourselves and not changing who we are in the face of negativity from others

* being more consistent and organised in our blogging

* improving our social media presence so we can build our new CANBACE tribe

* working smarter so we can take time out to enable us to do the necessary work and decluttering needed so we can sell our house and move to The Bahamas

* honouring all aspects of my writing self by freeing up time to finish my first CANBACE book whilst also spending time on writing fiction

Creating that future starts today

So, we have lots of plans for the future: now we need to think about how we are going to implement these plans

“The power for creating a better future is contained in the present moment: you create a good future by creating a good present.” Eckhart Tolle

Which leads me conveniently on to sharing with you the changes you are going to see in the Canbace Diaries from today onwards.

Instead of writing two blogs a week we’re going back to writing something every day. I know that might sound like madness when we want to work smarter and have more time. However, hear me out on this one.

Our blogs are going to be MUCH shorter: between 300 and 500 words. In addition Andrew is going to write 50% of the blogs which will free us some of my time.

We’ve got a new blogging schedule which, as you would expect from me, has a big focus on proactive healing.

Creating change

We are so excited to see how this new phase of our lives develops as we Create A New, Beautiful And Courageous Existence from the moment that 2019 starts.

Practice makes perfect

It’s all well and good writing about things in theory: however, we need to start applying what we learn. Today’s activity is to write down as many small changes you could make to your life that would help you move forward. Pick one of those changes and implement it today. Stuck for ideas? This article from LifeHack might help.

To help you keep track of all your work for the daily activities mentioned we have created a monthly diary for you to record your progress. You can download the January 2019 Canbace Diary here.

Be kind to yourself …

In CANBACE friendship!

If anything I have written resonates I’d love to hear from you in the comments. I appreciate that this can be a difficult subject to speak openly about. If you don’t want me to publish your comment on the website, please let me know. I will keep your words private.
