I started writing the letters to my broken heart in July 2016. It began as an Emotional Writing exercise to help me heal. By August 2016 I had already written 16,456 words and knew that I was only half way through what I wanted, needed, to write. At this point I realised that the letters were not for my eyes only. They should be published as a book in the hope that they could help other people. Unfortunately, the process of writing from so deep within my soul was becoming too raw and painful to continue.

So, I put the book aside for a while. I needed head, heart, and writing space to work out how to bring more hope and healing into the words. Although I had planned chapters that hinted at that healing and hope I was struggling to make a start on even the structured outlines of those chapters. What I didn’t realise at the time was that I needed to wait until I had started to CANBACE before I could finish the book.

The book was moth-balled until December 2018. Finishing and publishing “Unbreak My Heart” has now become my BHAG for 2019.

I will be sharing updates on the book’s progress here, together with launch information when the details have been confirmed.

In the meantime here’s a taster of what is to come. Although it won’t be the first chapter in the book, my letter to a “soon-to-be” pregnant friend was the first chapter that I wrote. You can read the whole of that chapter by clicking on the image above..

Be kind to yourself …
