You can never have enough flamingos

This week flamingos have come to the rescue again this week. Last week I was on a real high. Andrew and I were extremely busy with the last-minute tasks associated with publishing the magazine. However, despite the amount of work we were happy and relaxed. The positivity created by my birthday continued throughout the week especially as I found places for my growing flamingo family.

The unfortunately negative arrived. It didn’t creep into my life. It was chucked at me from a great distance. The emotions that I am feeling as a result of this onslaught are too raw at the moment, so I am not sharing details. When I have calmed down sufficiently, I MAY write more: however, I am not certain that I want to or need to. Perhaps my writing about it I am giving that negativity energy and power over me.

So instead I am going to be positive and introduce you to my new flamingos. For months Andrew has been saying that I have enough flamingos and “No I cannot buy that Flamingo Rubbish Bin!” Little did I know that he was squirreling away flamingos around the house ready for my birthday.

Here are the new additions to our flamboyance of fabulous flamingos:

who arrived in the post along with a card explaining “I saw this and thought of you”. Thank you Sharon it was a lovely surprise. I now have flamingos with me when I leave the house as my Flora Flamingo Handbag Charm is my constant companion.  xxx

I think this proves my point that you can never have enough flamingos. Which is great because I have my eye on T-shirts and dresses for next summer. Andrew puts on a show of resistance. However, we all know that resistance is futile. Proved by the fact that he’s already found two flamingo print shirts that he’s extremely tempted by.

There’s only going to be one blog published this week as I need to find some balance again. So, I will be back on Tuesday of next week. In the meantime, I am going to be focusing on self-care: lots of reading, walking and soaks in the bath are planned. Until I return I that you will
