Changing the narrative of our story

Today’s theme on World Childless Week is our story. For many people this may be the first time that they have shared their story with the wider world. If this is the case for you then “well done”. It takes a lot of courage to step so far out of your comfort zone and perhaps run the risk of criticism from family and friends.

Sharing stories is good for us as it helps us to be authentic about what is going on in our lives. It is also very good for other people. Reading a story that is similar to our own, helps us realise that we are not alone, and that other people can “get it”. We are reminded that we are worthy of being listened to.

Unfortunately, when we are feeling overwhelmed by our situation it is easy to get stuck in our story. It is hard to make changes and break free from the emotions that are so painful.

It takes courage to say, “enough is enough” or “I want to change my stars”. However, when Creating A New, Beautiful And Courageous Existence, that is exactly what we need to do.

Andrew and I recently said “enough” to one aspect of our lives that we have been struggling with for the last two years. Watch my video to find out more.

Are you ready to CANBACE?

Have you got to the stage of wanting to change your story?

Are you are feeling anxious about taking those first steps?

Would you like a gentle introduction to ease you into the process?

If you answered “YES” to any of these questions, then please check out Sunday’s blog when I will be sharing details about a new way to start moving forward with CANBACE.

If anything I have written resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you in the comments. I appreciate that this can be a difficult subject to speak openly about. If you don’t want me to publish your comment on the website, simply include “NOT FOR PUBLICATION” in your comment and I will keep your words private.

In Canbace friendship
