Our first Canbace holiday

We’re off on holiday. In fact this is the first holiday we’ve had since we started Canbacing. To be honest it’s the first holiday we’ve had since Christmas 2016. So we’re in desperate need of one.

What better way to celebrate than by taking a holiday with friends that we made on social media due to Nicci’s original blog.

Sue and Bob have flown over The Pond to spend two weeks with us. Which is wonderful. The squeals of delight from Nicci and Sue when they hugged for the first time yesterday was lovely. Although it did raise a few eyebrows from some bemused French rail passengers. But heck, it was needed.

To make it a REALY holiday (by which I mean that Nicci can’t spend time glued to the laptop) we’re heading off to Spain for a week. By the time this is published we should be half way to Madrid. We have a hour stop-over before our flight to Jerez de la Frontera.

We love Jerez and can’t wait to show Sue and Bob some of our favourite eateries. Or to introduce them to the wide range of sherry that is on offer. By sherry I don’t mean the dusty bottle of something hardly drinkable that lurks in the back of great-aunt Mildred’s cupboard. Jerez is the home of sherry and it has a lot to offer.

You can read more about why we love Jerez in the new issue of the Canbace Life Magazine. You can read that issue here. Nicci will be writing a blog about the trip towards the end of May.

Unfortunately this is all I have time to write now. It’s 01:10 and we have to leave for the airport at 05:30 so I am cutting this very fine. We had other blogs planned, yet not written. Unfortunately life jumped up and bit us so we’re rather behind on our blogging schedule. You can read about those particular challenges here.

Be kind to yourself …

In CANBACE friendship!

If anything I have written resonates I’d love to hear from you in the comments. I appreciate that this can be a difficult subject to speak openly about. If you don’t want me to publish your comment on the website, please let me know. I will keep your words private.
