WhatNotToSay#13 looks at one of those throw away comments. The ones that people really don’t think about and are often said in a attempt to make a joke out of a serious situation.
What am I talking about?
The “No Kids? Have mine!” comments.
I doubt that we’ve all had this said to us at some time or another. However, I expect a large percentage of us have had this or something similar expressed.
Why people think that this comment is helpful, at any time, is beyond me.

Practice makes perfect
It’s all well and good writing about things in theory: however, we need to start applying what we learn. If you are feeling strong enough, I would like you to plan your “ideal world” response to this type of comment. Give it a go even though no one has ever made this comment to you. There is always a first time, and it’s better to be prepared.
