Creating the House plan for the Bahamas

The plan for our house in the Bahamas is an evolving project, even though we are not ready to move yet.

You may ask why we are planning our house in the Bahamas if we are not in a position to move at the moment. Well there are a number of reasons.

• Firstly, when the move comes it will be quite quick. It will be determined by the length of time from getting an offer on the house in France to the actual completion. This is three months in France. Not a lot of time to pack up and start thinking about what we want when we get there.
• Ensures we are up to date on what is possible in terms of budget.
• Keeps us current on possible building methods
• Helps us to focus on what we need rather than what we want in a house
• It’s FUN. We enjoy it AND it’s part of our dreaming-big downtime.

More is not better. Better is better. You don't need a bigger house; you need a different floor plan.

 You don't need more stuff; you need stuff you'll actually use.

Although all the above points are valid there is another reason and that is our vision board. Doing this helps us to keep our vision and plans up to date. We will be writing about the importance of a vision board in a later blog.

Practice makes perfect

It’s all well and good writing about things in theory: however, we need to start applying what we learn. Have a look at your vision and ways to keep it alive and up to date.
